The Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation (IHME) of the University of Washington published the projection that by October 1st, 2020, the United States will have around 225K new daily coronavirus infections, which is at the par with the top of the first wave in March of 2020 (estimated, and not confirmed). Moreover, the new daily infections could reach 500K (based on 95% confidence interval). What will happen after October 1st?

These projections were published on June 10th, and the stock market took the notice – it dropped 6% the next day. The Fed once again intervened to stop the carnage, at least for now.
